World's Cheesiest Microwave Mac & Cheese
An incredibly creamy and decadent macaroni and cheese made entirely in the microwave using a blend of Velveeta, cheddar, and reduced heavy cream.
Ingredients
- 4 cups Water
- 1 lb Macaroni (elbow macaroni)
- 8 oz Velveeta Cheese (cubed)
- 8 oz Cheddar Cheese (yellow, grated)
- 1 cup Heavy Cream (reduced)
- ½ tsp Table Salt
- ½ tsp Ground Mustard Powder

Pour water into a large microwave-safe bowl. Use significantly less water than the bowl's full capacity to prevent overflow during boiling.

Microwave the water for 3 to 5 minutes until it reaches a rolling boil.

Add the elbow macaroni to the boiling water and stir. Continue to microwave the pasta until cooked through; note that microwave cooking will take longer than the package's stovetop instructions.

While the pasta cooks, cube the Velveeta cheese and grate the yellow cheddar cheese.

Once the pasta is cooked and most of the water has evaporated, drain any remaining excess water using a colander.

Return the hot pasta to the bowl and add the cubed Velveeta. Stir until the Velveeta is mostly melted and starts to coat the pasta.

Add the grated yellow cheddar and the reduced heavy cream. Stir well to combine all ingredients.

Microwave the mixture for an additional 1 to 2 minutes to ensure all the cheese is fully melted and the sauce is creamy.

Remove from the microwave and stir vigorously until the cheese sauce is smooth and glossy.

Season with a hefty amount of salt and the ground mustard powder. Stir one final time and serve immediately.
