Creamy Shrimp Pasta
A delicious and rich creamy shrimp pasta featuring seared marinated shrimp, a white wine cream sauce, and fresh cherry tomatoes.
Ingredients
- 15 Shrimp (marinated with spices; seared)
- 1 tsp Paprika (for marinade)
- ½ tsp Black Pepper (divided; freshly ground)
- ¼ tsp Chili Powder (for marinade)
- 1 tsp Table Salt (divided)
- 2 tbsp Butter (unsalted)
- 1 tbsp Olive Oil
- ½ Onion (finely diced)
- 3 Garlic (minced)
- 1 cup Tomato (cherry; halved)
- ¼ cup White Wine (dry)
- ¾ cup Heavy Cream
- ½ tsp Oregano (dried)
- 250 g Spaghetti
- ¼ cup Parmesan (freshly grated)
- 1 tbsp Parsley (fresh; finely chopped)
Instructions

In a small bowl, marinate the shrimp with paprika, black pepper, chili powder, and salt.

Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat with a drizzle of olive oil. Sear the shrimp on both sides until cooked through and pink. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

In the same pan, add the butter and another splash of olive oil. Add the finely diced onion and minced garlic, sautéing until translucent and fragrant.

Add the halved cherry tomatoes to the pan and fry lightly for about 2-3 minutes.

Pour in the white wine and simmer until the alcohol has evaporated and the liquid is reduced.

Stir in a ladle of starchy pasta water (reserved from cooking the spaghetti), heavy cream, black pepper, and dried oregano.

Simmer the sauce over medium heat until it starts to thicken slightly.

Add the cooked spaghetti, fresh parsley, and grated Parmesan cheese to the sauce.

Toss everything together until the pasta is well coated, then return the seared shrimp to the pan. Serve immediately.
